Welcome to
ZA Learning

Supporting and enabling learning, whatever it takes.

I am a tutor, mentor, speaker, author and neurodiversity education activist.

Know a learner who needs extra/bespoke support? Send them my way!
I work with learners of all ages, in a disability and neurodiversity-positive way. My teaching - whether it be in person on online - is always bespoke, tailored to the exact needs of the individual.

Are you a group of professionals who would benefit from training delivered by an Expert by Experience (neurodivergent educator)? Please get in touch!

I am fully insured and DBS checked, with up-to-date safeguarding and PREVENT training.

A bit about me

Hi, I’m Zoë and I am absolutely passionate about inclusive education. No, really: I can bore you for hours talking about this stuff. For now, I’ll keep it succinct.
I have been an educator in various guises for nearly 20 years. I’ve been a music tutor, a community workshop leader, and I am a qualified teacher (with QTS and a PGCE) and ADHD/autism mentor and study skills support (qualified non-medical helper).
I’ve taught all kinds of folks in all kinds of settings and that experience, along with the fact that I am neurodivergent myself, means I am really well equipped to understand the potential needs of the individual learner and sculpt learning experiences to suit them.
I am fascinated in how humans learn, and I write and present academic work on this subject (most recently as part of the Pen Green Schema Group).
I understand the strains that the education system is under and that that can mean students with specific needs aren’t always best catered for. I’m here to help, and to insert.
I am a passionate advocate for equity in education provision, hence my role as speaker: educating educators about the realities of experiencing the school system as a neurodivergent student. We can do better!
Since I taught my first pupil in 2006, my mission has remained the same: to confidently and holistically support learning differences by creating unique, personalised educational experiences for every student.

‘Zoë has provided both my children with bespoke teaching and learning support that centred them and honoured their place within their learning journey, boosting both their confidence and their achievement levels. For my neurodivergent child, she took the time to gain his trust, then devise and deliver a tailored educational experience for him. I would not hesitate to place my children with her again.’
